Caring for your card
Surface marks
A gentle wipe with a dry microfibre cloth may lift loose dust and fingerprints. Other types of wear won’t change with cleaning.
Centring
The border balance is part of the original print. Cleaning won’t change it, but it helps explain your estimate.
Edge whitening
The white is exposed card fibre. It cannot be fixed, and colouring it in counts as tampering.
Corners
Corner wear cannot be repaired. Avoid pressing or trimming; graders consider this tampering. Careful storage helps prevent further wear.
